Jacopo Bencini

Jacopo Bencini is an expert in climate diplomacy and UNFCCC negotiations, he works as a researcher at the European University Institute in Fiesole. He has collaborated with the EU Commission, the African Union, IDOS, Chatham House and Italian civil society organisations. Educator for RAI, ISPI, 24Ore Business School, Will Media and others, he has been involved in drafting reports at UN and European level. From 2014 to 2024, he was councillor for ecological transition in his home municipality. He has been president of the Italian Climate Network since September 2024.
