From 2023, Chris Baker leads the Wetlands International Europe organisation to inspire, mobilise and upscale the conservation and restoration of wetlands across the continent. Prior to that, he led Wetlands International’s global freshwater programme. He has more than 30 years’ experience developing science- and citizen-based strategies and programmes that deliver wetland restoration and conservation on the ground across landscapes in Europe, Africa, Latin America and Asia.
