Giulia Marzetti

Engineer and former EU policymaker, Giulia Marzetti has served as a consultant in the UK, Bangladesh and Australia on energy and infrastructure projects. From 2018 to 2022, she worked at the European Commission as a project officer and policy officer.
Currently, she is a manager in Climate & Sustainability, an expert reviewer for the IPCC, an ambassador for the Climate Pact and a Youth Energy Ambassador. She hosts the podcast “Sostenibilità Italiana” (Italian Sustainability).
Her experience in sustainable infrastructure and environmental issues has led her to serve as a delegate and spokesperson at various UN summits, including COP24, COP27, COP28 and the Commission on the Status of Women.
Notable awards include the FT Top 50 Women in ESG, WISE Top 50 Women in Engineering (2023), and the Premio Italia Giovane (2020), as well as being the only Italian to date to receive the Environmental Education 30under30 award from the North American Association of Environmental Education.
