Elena Colombo

Elena Colombo is junior editor of Renewable Matter. She has a bachelor's degree in Literature (University of Milan) and a master's degree in Environmental Humanities (Ca' Foscari University of Venice), a multidisciplinary course that brings together natural sciences, social sciences and humanities. She is fascinated by the world of plants and fungi. Every now and then, you can find her at the Parco delle Groane e della Brughiera Briantea talking to children about environmental education. For her thesis on the role of the Seveso and Bhopal disasters in literature, she won the 2025 Laura Conti Prize in the “environmental literature” category. She has spoken about the results of her research on Seveso on two occasions, at the Legambiente Seveso Centre and at the Bosco delle Querce of Seveso e Meda.
