Hwai Chyuan Ong is a Distinguished Professor at Sunway University, Malaysia. He is a Chartered Engineer (CEng) registered with the Engineering Council, UK. Hwai Chyuan was listed as a Highly Cited Researcher (Engineering) by Clarivate Analytics from 2019 to 2022. He was also named Australia's top early career researcher in sustainable energy in 2021. Additionally, he serves as a Core Group Member of the APRU Sustainable Waste Management (SWM) program.
