Verification of sources

The editorial staff undertakes to obtain the highest standard of accuracy, which is obtained - by the author of the article and the editors who coordinate the work - by checking the facts and sources (which as a rule must be cited), using more of a source except when this is impossible, making a clear and explicit distinction between first and second-hand sources, avoiding exaggerations and frames.
Anonymous sources The use of anonymous sources is the exception, not the rule and must be justified in any case: the legitimate protection of a source and professional secrecy are irreplaceable guarantees, in compliance with the Italian laws , of each journalist. We encourage you to read our dedicated document in English for all whistleblowers / anonymous sources.

If a service also contains an analysis part, the double category - service and analysis - must be explicitly indicated.

News: Journalistic content that cannot be attributed to any of the other categories envisaged by the Trust Project. We indicate as news content that may have as sources news agencies, tables with market data, editorials or interventions that cannot be described as comments. Comments may include facts or quotations, but still reflect the author's opinions, personal preferences and conclusions.
Analysis: The analysis is based on matters of national or international news, carried exploits ndo the author's experience and specific expertise to explain the facts, sometimes interpreting and drawing conclusions to its readers. It may include predictions of possible event evolutions based on experience. The analysis is based solely on factual reconstructions, although the author uses his or her skills on the subject to put the news in perspective and help the reader understand the event or issue. The analysis conforms to the general guidelines of a news report. Generally, an analysis follows or supports a report on the same topic.
