APRE is a non-profit research organization

APRE was created in 1989 as a joint initiative of the Italian Ministry of Research (MIUR) and some public and private bodies in order to meet the growing demand for information on European research programmes. First reality of its kind, APRE has been supporting the scientific and the industrial community for over 25 years in the path to Europe, and today, to the World, through offering information, assistance, training, data collection, studies and statistics on European Commission programmes in the field of Research, Technological Development and Innovation (RTDI) and the Italian participation in these activities.

APRE hosts the Italian National Contact Points for Horizon 2020

The NCP network is acknowledged by the European Commission and provides information, training and assistance in all aspects of the EU framework programme. It is set up across all the Member States and Associated States of the European Union.

APRE is supported by more than 100 supporting and ordinary members

APRE Members are public or private bodies that share the institutional mission of the Agency. Our members are:

Public and Private Research centres, Universities, Scientific Parks, Public Administrations, Trade associations, Finance, Chambers of Commerce, Technological Districts, enterprise, other.

Regional APRE’s Help Desks

Aiming to strengthen the cooperation system between public and private institutions, to foster and disseminate European research nationwide, APRE is present throughout Italy with the Regional Help Desks.

APRE office in Brussels is a strategic choice intended to support more effectively our members by promoting their wider involvement in Research and Innovation policies and programmes of the European Union.

The Agency’s Italian and European Interlocutors network

Italian Regions, European Commission, European Parliament, Permanent Representation of Italy to the European Union, H2020 National Delegations, Ministry of Education, Universities and Research (MIUR), Italian Ministry of Economic Development, Italian Ministry of Agricultural, Food and Forestry Policies and the Italian Ministry of the Environment and Protection of Land and Sea.

Information activities

APRE provides information activities on the mechanisms of participation in the Framework Programme through the organization of national and international events, a Mailing List Service (MLS), web site, newsletter, Mono-Thematic dossiers, catalogs of data collection, guides, etc. To subscribe to our databases and make use of our information services: www.apre.it

Assistance activities

APRE assists applicants in the proposal stage and also in the administrative and contractual management of projects. In particular:

  • Identifying opportunities for eligible participants in EU programmes;
  • Pre-screening of the proposals

    Training activities

    APRE regularly organizes training courses addressed to the acquisition of specific skills on project design and administrative management of European projects.

    APRE is certified UNI EN ISO 9001: 2008

    APRE is highly committed to provide certified services in order to ensure the highest quality standards. In 2001 APRE was awarded with a Quality Certification for its assistance and information services and in 2002 the Certification was extended to training and project management activities.
